The Foot & Ankle Surgery Division at Mass General Brigham Department of Orthopaedic Surgery is dedicated to excellence in the comprehensive care of foot and ankle conditions. Our faculty provide advanced operative and non-operative treatment for a wide spectrum of disorders, including fractures, sports injuries, deformities, arthritis, tendon pathology, cartilage injuries, diabetic foot conditions, and complex reconstructions. As part of an academic orthopaedic program affiliated with Harvard Medical School, our division combines high-volume clinical care with a strong commitment to research, innovation, education, and surgical training.

Our Fellowship
The Harvard – MGB Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Fellowship is a merger of two well-established fellowships, the Harvard – Brigham and Harvard – MGH Foot and Ankle Fellowships. These two programs have existed alongside one another for years, with growing collaboration and integrated fellowship education. As part of a larger merger of the two academic medical centers, the programs are now formally merging into a single fellowship training program. The existing training programs will continue to provide world-class fellowship education until the formal start of the Harvard – MGB fellowship with an inaugural class of four fellows in August 2028.
The Harvard – MGB Foot & Ankle Fellowship provides advanced training in the operative and non-operative management of a broad spectrum of foot and ankle disorders. Fellows work closely with experienced faculty across high-volume clinical and surgical settings and participate in didactic conferences, journal clubs, grand rounds, resident education, and research.
The fellowship emphasizes clinical excellence, academic productivity, surgical judgment, technical skill development, and leadership in foot and ankle surgery. Fellows are encouraged to engage in research using the division’s extensive academic infrastructure, including clinical outcomes research, biomechanics, device development, artificial intelligence, innovation, and translational projects.
